The 5th annual Stillhouse Hollow FIRST LEGO League Qualifier was underway last Friday, and LCSS could not be prouder! Over 300 students competed for a spot to attend the Cookeville State Robotics Event on February 10, 2024, and many hands lifted the successful Event to help our kids get there!

We want to give an exceptional thanks to Pastor Jeff of First Baptist Church for allowing the use of their facilities. Mr. Cheatwood and his class at LCHS for moving and building the robotics tables. The classes of Mr. Boston, Mr. Fischer, and Mr. Barnett for building the LEGO game missions. Ms. Mary Long and the EOC Media Team for LIVE Streaming the Event. The LCSS Technology Department and Career Coaches for all of their support. In addition, former FIRST Alumni Fab 4 Team Carter, Rowan, Jaley, and Ben for hosting and managing!

Our Community sponsors are the force behind our consistent success, and the countless hours and dollars given are inspiring! Jason Shelton and his Team at Loretto Telecom provided judges and paid for all of our robotics team shirts. Lawrenceburg Utility System furnished lunch for everyone. Robotic Game Referees included Mr. Jason Shelton (Loretto Telecom), Mr. Bryan Brewer (Inmotion), Barry Brian (DRM), Bailey Barnett (Plasma), Ms. Samantha Childress (LCHS), Mr. Nick Quillen (LHS), and Lead Ref Koda Davis (former LCSS student). TN Valley Robotics, TVA, and FIRST have supported Stillhouse in multiple ways, from providing materials and/or dollars to ensuring success!

It's great to see how events like the 5th Annual LCSS First LEGO League Qualifier encourage young minds to explore the world of STEM and robotics. As someone who loves LEGO, I think incorporating lego light kits into these projects could take the creativity to a whole new level. Imagine a robot designed for a competition, illuminated with vibrant LED lights, making it not only more functional but visually stunning too. If you’re looking to add some flair to your own LEGO creations, check out the amazing options available at LeLightGo. They have a fantastic range of lighting kits that could be perfect for enhancing these incredible projects!

It’s incredible to see events like the 5th Annual LCSS FIRST LEGO League Qualifier inspiring young minds to explore STEM through creativity and teamwork! LEGO truly goes beyond play-it teaches innovation and problem-solving. Adding lights for LEGO sets can make those creations even more exciting, bringing their robotic designs and imaginative builds to life in a whole new way.

The annual LCSS FIRST League Qualifiers is a truly awesome event, and while we're on the topic of skill and resource leveling, I'd like to share a genshin top up lifehack for game fans to quickly replenish their resources and obtain the necessary materials for character upgrades. This saves time, especially if you want to focus on leveling your favorite heroes without wasting hours on farming.
