early postsecondary opportunities offered by our district. Those include but are not limited to dual enrollment, industry certifications, and work-based learning.

The Career Coaches will work hand in hand with the Guidance Counselors and Ayers Counselors on a multitude of tasks. For example, this year aptitude tests will be administered to students and the results will be utilized to guide the conversations that the Career Coaches will have with students as well as course selection options. Other duties include working with CTE Teachers to ensure that soft skills curriculum is introduced to all CTE Students, scheduling guest speakers, career fairs, and job placement.

In coming months LCSS will be introducing other innovative action steps that are a part of the ISM grant. With the incredible CTE Faculty, Staff, and Career Coaches a monumental difference will continue to be made in the lives of LCSS students.

It’s inspiring to see grants supporting high school career coaches-guidance at this stage can truly shape a student’s future. Just like personalized mentorship, activities such as trumpet lessons can help students discover their passions, build discipline, and gain confidence. Combining career guidance with creative outlets equips young people with skills and self-assurance that go far beyond the classroom, setting them up for long-term success.

It's wonderful to see initiatives like this grant that provide career coaches for high school students. Having professionals guide students in their career paths can truly shape their futures. Just as schools are focusing on building stronger career paths for students, retail businesses can also benefit from a streamlined system. For example, an hvac store system can help businesses maintain a comfortable environment for both customers and staff, improving their overall experience. It’s all about creating systems that help support growth, whether for students or in the retail industry, ensuring long-term success and efficiency in every area.
